November 19, 1983 - November 1, 2025
A Celebration of Life Service for Katie Marie Hessel, 41, of Enid, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with a reception to follow.
Katie was born on November 19, 1983, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Thomas Charles and Lynn Marie Dolci, and passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her loving family.
From the very beginning, Katie was full of life—she learned to dance before she could even walk and loved performing in talent shows with her siblings, bringing joy and entertainment to the elderly residents. Despite a challenging childhood, Katie's resilience and determination helped her persevere, leading her to excel in her career in customer service. Her hard work and dedication allowed her to lead a successful life, which eventually led to meeting the love of her life, Nick Hessel. They married on November 10, 2013, in Enid.
Her greatest joys in life were being a devoted wife and mother, and her happiest day came when she became “Nana” to her precious granddaughter, Leiah. No matter what her daughters were involved in, Katie was always there—cheering at games, concerts, and school events, supporting them every step of the way.
Katie enjoyed her work at Jiffy Trip and Tropical Smoothie, where she loved helping people and brightening their day with her smile. She found fulfillment in making others happy—helping a stranger could make her day complete.
Katie was also a proud Kansas City Chiefs fan—she loved her team.
Some of Katie’s favorite hobbies included camping, riding four-wheelers, gardening, tending to her yard and flower beds, and cooking. She also had a creative spirit and loved arts and crafts, especially using her Cricut to make personalized shirts and cups for family and friends.
Katie will always be remembered as the “neighbor mom,” a caring, generous, and loyal friend to everyone who knew her. She was crazy in the best possible way—fun-loving, full of surprises, and always ready to make people laugh. Though small in stature, she had a big personality that could fill any room and a heart even bigger than that. She was also a wonderful sister—loving, supportive, and always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh.
She is survived by her husband, Nick; daughters Logan Hessel and fiancé Dylan, and Myah Hessel; granddaughter Leiah; brother Darren Dolci and wife Ashley; sisters Michelle Walker and Victoria Dolci; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Lola and Palo. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lynn Dolci.
