Tri-State Music Festival
Enid, Oklahoma Enid, OK, United StatesIt's time for the 94th Tri-State Music Festival from April 27 to May 1! Solos and ensembles will compete at locations throughout Enid. Marching is now performed in the fall during the Field Marching Contest. Tri-State History About eight or ten bands got together for the first Phillips Band Day in 1932. Band Day had drawn bands from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas for the first event so it was unanimously decided to call the new event Tri-State. In 1933 Enid had its first real Tri-State Band Festival. Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field Van Buren & Mulberry, Enid, OK, United StatesFestival 2026-Kites Over Enid will be held May 2nd & 3rd, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm both days. Take a kite, a lawn chair and a hat and join everyone for two fun filled days of flying kites. Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field behind Autry Technology Center, located at 1201 W Willow. Flying field accessible only from N. Van Buren. Turn west on Mulberry and proceed to field. Parking is on the grass east of the flying field.

Enid High May Fete

Enid High May Fete is a rite of passage for the senior class of Enid High School. It comes from an old English May Day tradition which celebrates the coming of spring. Enid High turned this tradition into a ceremony that not only welcomes spring but also honors the senior class each year. It began in 1915 and has changed very little over the decades.
