    Cyrus Avery was a businessperson, oilman, and highway commissioner. He created the U.S. Route 66 while being a member of the federal board appointed to create the Federal Highway System, then pushed for the establishment of the U.S. Highway 66 Association to pave and promote the highway.     The Mackie Planetarium at Northern Oklahoma College Enid will present its February show on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. The program will feature the night sky over Enid during February and is titled “3,000 Years of Astronomy.” Planetarium Director Fritz Osell will guide attendees through the history of astronomy, highlighting major discoveries from ancient civilizations through modern science.
