'Carol Ann Sadler, 66, Enid resident, was born on February 18, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.W. and Evelyn Horne Huffman, and passed away suddenly on January 15, 2018 at her residence.

As a girl, Carol loved working at the farm, in the dairy barn and wheat harvest but most of all our first horse, Silver, and that was just the beginning,, she had more horses, then became a jockey probably the first girl jockey around. After a knee injury in a race in Texas, she started her business as a race horse trainer. For many years, Carol trained race horses and also worked as a veterinarian assistant for her friends, Jess and Katy Brewer. Carol is the mother of two sons, Danny (Angel) Long, and Michael (Teresa) Sadler; grandchildren, Sarah, Braxton, Chloe, Alexis, Dylan, Meranda, Hannah, and Mollie; great-grandson, Camdon; sisters, Jackie Stevens and brother-in-law, Jerry; Debbie Cantrell and brother-in-law, Dave; Brother, J.D. Huffman and La Tonya; sister-in-law, Linda Huffman; nieces, Shari, Kim, Charlene, Lori, and Ashley; nephews, Shawn and Davy; great-nieces and nephews, Adrienne, Delaney, Shawn David, Alexis, Eric, Megan, Kaylee, Kristin, Brooklyn Ann, Bentley, Brandon, Mikinzi, Caitlyn.

Some changed Carol’s name to Aunt Candy due to the amount of candy she sent them home with! Carol was preceded in passing by her parents, J.W. and Evelyn, brother, Charley, grandparents, Virgil and Pearl Hujffman, Ed and Lilly Horne.
