Mass of Christian Burial for Henry R. Harak, 88, of Marshall, will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Menasco as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Recitation of the Rosary will be 6:30 PM, Friday evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Henry was born October 20, 1929 to Joe and Emma (Fuxa) Harak, in Hennessey, Oklahoma, and passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Enid.

Henry attended Roxanna grade school, and graduated from Marshall High School. He then entered in the United States Army, serving in Korea. Returning to Oklahoma, he worked as a welder in Oklahoma City at Robertson Steel. Henry returned to Marshall upon the realization he did not like city life. In addition to farming, Henry started HR Harak Construction, focusing on soil conservation. On April 11, 1964 he married Maxine Louise Peitz, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, and they made their home in Marshall. He was a member of St. Camillus Catholic Church in Marshall, and later a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hennessey.

Henry is survived by his children David and Paula Harak of Marshall, and Dale and Vicky Harak of Independence, Missouri; 4 grandsons Ethan and wife Lauren Harak, Matthew Harak, Evan Harak, and Adam Harak.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, and a sister.
