Harold E. Peters

October 30, 1928 - August 20, 2021

Mass of Christian Burial for Harold Peters will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Reverend Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Rosary will be Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home led by the Knights of Columbus.

Harold was born October 30, 1928 in Enid, Oklahoma to Fred and Stella Markus Peters and died on August 20, 2021 in Enid.

Harold married Teresa Farhar on October 20, 1947 in Okeene, and they made their home in Enid. Harold was a lifelong farmer. For a number of years, he built trucks for Hayes Mobile Arbartoir. He and his partners took a six week trip to Spain to promote the slaughter trucks. Later Harold operated Peters Garage, specializing in Volkswagen repair. In 1975, Harold and Teresa built a home on the family farm. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 1044, and 4th Degree Assembly 854, holding many offices, including Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and District Deputy. He enjoyed the Knight of Columbus campouts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa on April 11, 2015; parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Harold is survived by his four daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Paul Cowherd, Brenda and Dale Grauberger, Lisa and Bob Hoffman, and Wina and Larry Gray, all of Enid; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
