Rhonda Lynne (Gottsch) Smith, born on June 2, 1961, to Dan and Mary Gottsch in Fairview, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on February 23, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of love and friendship that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Rhonda was the sister to Jeri Sheik, whom she considered her closest friend. She was also a proud mother to Dylan & Gerit Smith and mother-in-law to Lauren & Terrisa. The most cherished role she held was that of a loving grandmother to her beloved grandchildren: Presley, Easton, Pratt, and Emerie. Rhonda’s family was her greatest treasure, and her love for them was deeply reciprocated.

Rhonda devoted over 35 years of her career to the Department of Human Services and the Office of Juvenile Affairs, where her commitment and dedication influenced countless children and inspired her colleagues. She was admired for her work ethic and her talent in empowering those around her.

Rhonda’s spirit was contagious. She was known for her willingness to always lend a hand and her unwavering support. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special.

Rhonda is survived by her mother, Mary Gottsch; her sons, Dylan Smith (Lauren) and Gerit Smith (Terrisa); sister, Jeri Sheik; niece, Anna Swart (Jared); her grandchildren and countless other family members and friends.

Throughout her 63 vibrant years, Rhonda lived life to the fullest, bringing joy and warmth to everyone around her. Her kindness extended beyond her family; she was a dedicated friend and mentor to many. Her big smile and loving presence will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate enough to share in her life.

Come and Go Reception will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at AB Circle of Life Event Center, 3022 N. Van Buren. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
