Joshua David Wayne Rainey

Joshua David Wayne Rainey passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 26, 2023, near Kiowa, Kansas. Joshua was born to David Wayne Kliewer and Donna Ellen Rainey in Enid, Oklahoma. Josh attended Kremlin-Hillsdale School. After his senior year, Josh joined the Army and loved serving his country. He established strong bonds with his brothers that he served with and thought of them as family.

In 2010 at the OU vs OSU Bedlam game, Josh met the love of his life, Leslie Michelle Doty. On March 10, 2012, he made her forever his and married her. Leslie was his best friend, soul mate, and he thanked God for her every day. His five beautiful kids were every breath he took and that is why he worked so hard to provide the best life he could for them. Josh absolutely loved being at their sporting events and was always their loudest supporter. Josh was an amazing son that valued his family and cherished every second spent with them. He loved his dad Lyndon so much and spoke to him every day. He loved his OSU Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. Josh owned his own trucking company, Rainey Day Trucking, that he poured so much hard work and passion into. He loved being an uncle and was the absolute best at it. He had a deep voice and the best laugh that we will all remember and value forever.

His loved ones left behind are his wife Leslie, five children, Kaelin Ellen Rainey age 16, Devin Michael Rainey age 10, Jasmine Paige Rainey age 8, Ryleigh Sue Rainey age 5 and Everleigh Ray Rainey age 1, Mom and Dad, Donna and Lyndon Rainey of Kremlin, Dad and Stepmom, David and Betty Kliewer of Enid; siblings, Matthew Rainey of Enid, Kaci and husband Jonathan Carpenter of Enid, Kylie and husband Sam Telinde of Enid; nieces and nephews Skylar Cote, Damien Rainey, Ethan Carpenter, Bronson Rainey, Gavin Carpenter, Raegan Carpenter, Benjamin Telinde, Cullin Carpenter, and Kailyn Carpenter as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother Mary Craig, grandmother Yvonne Rainey Becksted and many friends that he considered his family.

He is proceeded in death by grandfather, James Craig, grandparents, Virgil and Edna Breckenridge, and grandfather Bill Kliewer as well as all his fallen soldier family.

The funeral will be Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Oakwood Christian Church. Burial will immediately follow the service and Josh will be buried in Kremlin Cemetery.
