Funeral service for Mike Mitchell, 83 of Enid, will be Monday, February 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Deacon Val Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Enid under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Michael was born on September 5, 1941 in Enid to Frank Finis and Marie Jenieve (Scherer) Mitchell and passed away on February 9, 2025 in Enid.
He grew up in Enid and graduated from Memorial High School in 1959. During his teen years, Mike worked at Dairy Maid. After high school, he worked at Vance Air Force Base for five years.
On February 4, 1967, Michael married Lynda Koehn in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mike worked at OG&E, retiring in January 2000. He was a lifetime member of St. Francis. Mike enjoyed playing the piano, cars, road trips and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Boyd and Kelly; sisters, Peggy Stratton, Mary Haselwander, Lorraine Dolan, and Ora Lee Kruse.
Mike is survived by his wife, Lynda; many nieces and a few nephews.
