It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Glynda Louise Jantz announces her passing at the age of 78. With her loving family by her side, Glynda entered Eternal Rest on Friday, April 25, 2025.
She was born on January 18, 1947 to Delmar and Jean Jantz. She attended school in Enid and graduated from Goltry High School. In 1964 Glynda married Steven Binford. They had a daughter Tracy Binford Sanders. In 1971, Glynda married Dennis Crites, and they had two daughters Melanie Crites Chandler and Melissa Crites.
Glynda entered the workforce in 1965, first in banking, then for Southwestern Bell, Union Equity, as well as Garfield, Alfalfa and Major County Courthouses. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, attending ballgames, playing cards, dancing, karaoke, and playing the piano. Glynda loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. She loved the Lord and attended Community Bible Church.
Glynda is survived by her daughters Tracy Binford Sanders, Melanie Crites Chandler and Melissa Crites; grandchildren Clint Sanders, Elyse Sanders McCart, Brittani Atchley, Tommy Crites, Braeden Plummer and Cash Redding; great grandchildren Lilly, Layken, Maci, Benton and Kynslee.
Glynda is preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Jean Jantz, Dennis Crites and longtime companion Terry Rider.
Mom, thank you for all you sacrificed, all the laughter, tears and the time we had together.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday May 5, 2025, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
