CSRHC Picnic In The Village
Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center 507 S 4th St, Enid, OK, United StatesEnjoy a beautiful spring Sunday picnic on the grounds of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center on May 4 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. With the purchase of one ticket, guests will receive a picnic basket for two that includes early 20th-century picnic fare, a blanket to sit on and supplies for a hands-on activity. This lunchtime event is perfect for a Mother’s Day gift, lunch date or nice Sunday afternoon outing with a friend. Tickets are $40 and include picnic supplies for two people. Leonardo's Summer Camp
Leonardo's Children's Museum 200 E. Maple, Enid, OK, United StatesLeonardo’s Children’s Museum is excited to announce updated hours for its 2025 Summer Discovery Camp: Global Adventure, which hopes to offer families greater flexibility and even more hands-on fun — all at no additional cost. For ages 4-12. This summer, the camp will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with early drop-off available at 7:30 AM and late pick-up until 12:30 PM, free of charge. This change expands the popular morning session into a single, extended format to better serve families and streamline camp operations. June 2 through July 25.

History Alive! on the Cherokee Strip

In 1942, in response to the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese forces, President Franklin Roosevelt signed into law Executive Order 9066. The law ordered the forced imprisonment of all Japanese Americans living on the West Coast of the United States, which at the time had the second-largest population of Japanese people living outside of Japan.
