CSRHC Liquid History: Flash & Fizz
April 11 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center on Friday, April 11, from 6-9 p.m. for “Liquid History: Flash & Fizz.” Historical interpreters will take you through the history of sodas at this event, which is part of the “Museum After Dark” programming.
Take a tour through the Humphrey Heritage Village and learn about the history of some of the most beloved carbonated drinks — from how they started to the popular soda foundations of the 1950s! Each stop will feature a sample of a fizzy beverage or a mixed concoction with soda as the main ingredient.
“Liquid History” will take place concurrently with the special preview of “A Body of Work: More Than Skin Deep,” a special exhibition featuring art pieces from tattoo artists in northwestern Oklahoma. During the event, artists from Culture Tattoo in Enid and Red Sagas Tattoo Parlor in Woodward will be available to discuss their art. Both companies will offer flash tattoos for an extra cost on a first come, first served basis. Clients must be at least 18 years old and show a valid ID. Culture Tattoo will accept cash and card payments, while Red Sagas will only accept cash.
“Liquid History” tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased online. Ticketed group tours start at 6 p.m. and depart every 30 minutes until 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to check out the new exhibit before or after their tour for no additional cost.
Tickets for the preview of “A Body of Work” are the regular admission cost. They can be purchased at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center on the night of the event. The preview event is from 5-9 p.m. Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center and Oklahoma Historical Society members always get in for free.
Both events are open to the public and designed for all ages. For more information and to view ticket prices, please visit csrhc.org or call 580-237-1907.
