Ralph Edward "Ed" Phipps, age 68, of Enid, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 in Enid. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Ed was born on January 18, 1957, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Ralph and Gloria (Hartman) Phipps. He joined the United States Army right after turning 17 years old. He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era where he served as a Pershing missile specialist. After being honorably discharged from the military, he worked in the construction industry, he started his own business, Phipps Family Construction, where he did residential new home construction until his retirement after 47 years in business.
He is survived by his wife Pattie, of the home in Enid; son Daniel Phipps, of Enid; grandson Derrick Phipps, of Kingfisher, OK; father, Ralph Edward Phipps, of Cedaridge, CO; brother, David Phipps of Enid; and sister, Christine Armstrong, of Stillwater.
