Conder Named EHS Head Football Coach

ENID, OK - Enid Public Schools has selected Cameron Conder as the next Enid High School Plainsmen head football coach.

Conder will take over the position after serving as the EHS offensive coordinator since 2015 with a brief stint as the head coach at Locust Grove Public Schools in 2019. He was previously assigned as the interim head coach after Rashaun Woods announced his resignation in early 2023.

Conder is committed to continuing the Enid legacy, saying, "We will relentlessly develop our hearts and our minds with mental toughness and passion about performance, and a strong desire to Live the Creed!"

Conder has been coaching since 1996, starting his career at Phoenix Christian High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He went on to coach four state championships and six Division I quarterbacks and is one of 10 coaches in the country to be on the U.S. Army All American Bowl Selection Committee. He is Oklahoma certified in Physical Education/Health/Safety. He is a graduate of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ with a degree in sports management.

Billy Tipps, EPS Athletic Director, is looking forward to seeing what Conder accomplishes as head coach.

“We are excited for this hire, Coach Conder has earned a reputation around the school as a passionate leader,” said Tipps. “He is connected to our kids; he is always present, in the hallways, at events, he is fully invested in our school and our community. He has a vision to not only compete at the highest level in football but to also connect all the activities in our building. That's important coming from the football program, which has the most kids, the most coaches and the most eyes on it."

Conder and his wife, Shanan, have been married for 28 years and have three boys together, Cash, Chase, and Brady. They are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.
