Beurlot Slated To Be Main Street Director

ENID, OK – Kelly Tompkins announced that she would be stepping down as the Executive Director of Main Street Enid after 7 years leaving some big shoes to fill. After a search internally and externally, Main Street board members have chosen Assistant Director, Natalie Beurlot, as the next Executive Director.

Beurlot said, "Main Street Enid has grown a place in my heart and this community has truly become my family! I can’t wait to take part in continuing in making Downtown Enid a place everyone wants to be!"

As the Director of Main Street Enid, Beurlot, along with staff, board members, partners and volunteers, will continue the revitalization of downtown Enid. Beurlot thanked Tompkins saying, "Kelly Sisk Tompkins has done amazing things with downtown Enid and I am honored to follow such an inspiring woman. I am forever grateful that she showed me how to love my community and truly care about where I live."

Beurlot is a 2013 graduate of Oklahoma Bible Academy and attended Northern Oklahoma College Stillwater. She has a background in marketing and mass communications.

Earlier in the day, Beurlot had the privilege of receiving an Enid Young Professionals Top 10<40 award at their annual awards banquet. She said, "I am honored to have had the opportunity to be recognized along with the other deserving winners and nominees."

Main Street Enid, Inc. is a downtown revitalization nonprofit organization. Their mission is to revitalize downtown Enid by preserving and promoting the historic district as the economic and cultural heart of the city.

Beurlot will be an advocate for downtown as an authority, local expert and source for information. She will be the principal staff person, the contact person for the community and is responsible for coordinating all program activities, as well as representing the community regionally and nationally.

The Main Street plans a dozen community events each year including First Fridays, Downtown Dogfest, Oktoberfest, and Enid Lights Up the Plains, among others. They also help property owners make historically appropriate decisions on their buildings and create networking events for business owners.
