William Haskell "Hack" Dillion

March 6, 1929 - October 3, 2025

William Haskell Dillion was called home to heaven on October 3, 2025. He was 96 years old, and was born on March 3 1929 to William T. and Bessie Dillion. He had 3 brothers: Vernon, E.J., and Billy O., and one sister, Zola. They all grew up in Weleetka, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Christine Ellig, and they have been married for 78 years. So much of their life was a love story, and she is looking forward to seeing him again, soon. Hack had 2 children, William H. Dillion, Jr. and his precious grandchildren, Monica and Kent Rorick and Gwen Wells, and great grandchildren, Sara, Emily, and Jewell, and 4 great great grand-children Bailee, Cameron, Xander and Ripley. Rori Merryman is his daughter, and his son-in-law is Larry Merryman, and his grandson is Josh and his wife is Buffie. His great grandchildren, Hack and Marlow, gave him a lot of happiness.

Hack joined the Army when he was 17 and returned to Tulsa after 7 years. He was talented and successful in everything he did. He was an artist when it came to woodworking, and he could fix anything. He was successful in Real Estate and built houses and remodeled many. He was proud to be a Christian and donated much of his time and energy to his church, Emmanuel Baptist. He was also proud to be a Republican and prayed for his Country.

Hack was never short of kindness and generosity. He laughed and smiled through all his trials and tribulations, and he couldn’t do enough for those who needed him. He is our hero, and the father and husband that most would give anything to have. His life was lived beautifully and Jesus lived in his heart. It’s our joy to know that he lives with his Savior now.

Services will be on Friday at 10:00 am at the Anderson Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Wade Burleson as minister, and there will be a graveside burial in Tulsa at 3:30 pm on Friday at Floral Haven Cemetery, October 10, 2025. Visitation is on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, October 9 at Anderson Burris funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the building fund at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.
