Wayne Alan Stromsodt

The Memorial Services celebrating and honoring the life of Wayne Alan Stromsodt, 75, of Enid, formerly of Grand Forks, North Dakota, will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 11th, 2020 at the Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church with pastor Ron Olsen officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Wayne was born June 9th, 1945 to Hjalmer Stromsodt and Helen (Berg) Stromsodt and passed from this life December 8th, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Grand Forks, North Dakota graduating from Central High School. He attended the University of North Dakota. He married Sharon Whitmore on June 15th, 1991 in Grand Forks. Over the span of 35 years, he worked for Prudential Insurance Company and Grand Forks County Social Services. He started his own business Stromsodt Financial Services that he operated for 10 years in Grand Forks, North Dakota until his retirement in 2009. Throughout out his life, he enjoyed racing Sprint and Stock Cars and watching the Fighting Sioux hockey team and the Minnesota Vikings. In his spare time, he enjoyed working outside and tinkering with home improvements. He was a jack of all trades; he could fix absolutely anything. He was a very kind and generous person who never met a stranger. He was very proud daughters and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, of the home, children, Kristen, Kayla, and Heather. Sisters-in-law: Jeanine Deterding (Jim), Judi Whitmore, and Pam Lautt. Brother-in-law: Clay Whitmore and Cousin Terry Stromsodt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: brothers Gary and Robert and sister Bonnie.

The family asks that memorials be given in his honor to the American Heart Association with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
