A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia Streck-Glow, age 86, of Hennessey, will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hennessey, with Rev. Edward Menasco officiating. A Prayer Service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Virginia was born to Elgin and Edna Mae (Seney) Suenram on April 27, 1929, in Bison, and passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, in Hennessey.
Virginia graduated from Waukomis High School and then Business College. She worked at Enid Business College for five years, and was an accountant at Hennessey Lumber for twenty years. Virginia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Senior Citizens where she was the director for ten years, 89ers, Lioness Club, Good Sam’s Camping Club, Red Hat Ladies, Rebeccas, and was a St. Mary’s Volunteer. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting, family genealogy, and traveling. Virginia loved being around family and friends, especially volunteering her time, talents, and beautiful smile
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Dunn and husband Bob of Coldwater, Kansas, and June Streck and husband Jodie of Hennessey; stepchildren, Barbara Allinder of Tulsa, Jodie Streck of Hennessey, Michael Streck of Kremlin, Helen Woodard-Streck of Palo Alto, California, Susan Underwood of Stillwater, Kathleen Streck of Hennessey; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond, Larry “Bill”, and Dennis Suenram; four sisters: Norma “Jean” Quiggle, Nina Bowers, LuAnn Brown, and Margorie Wagner.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Ellen, one brother Ernest, and husbands Charles Dillon, J.V. “Pete” Streck, and Emil Glow.
Memorials may be made to Hennessey Senior Citizens Center of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
