The Red Dirt Roadshow Is Coming To Enid

ENID, OK – JNP Productions and the Stride Bank Center are proud to announce the Red Dirt Roadshow, featuring Stoney Larue, Cody Canada and The Departed, and Micky and the Motorcars are coming to the Stride Bank Center in Enid, OK, on Friday, April 22, 2022.

When the Roadshow rolls into Enid, the Stride Bank Center will transform into a home-grown honkytonk featuring the best Red Dirt acts touring America and beyond – it's your time to have a good time.

Over a nearly 20-year career, the Lone Star-born and Oklahoma-raised Stoney LaRue has transformed himself into THE Red Dirt Renaissance man - And his live shows are where he shares his visions. Forging connections with his fans is paramount for LaRue, who plays more than 200 live shows a year. His base is fiercely loyal, not just within the Red Dirt regions. For LaRue, who has sold more than one million albums and singles in his career, fun means being on the road and playing live, tapping into a vast catalog that includes influential LPs like 2005's The Red Dirt Album, 2019's Onward, and his exhilarating 2007 live document Live at Billy Bob's Texas.

Cody Canada was the lead singer/songwriter of the Oklahoma-based alt-country band Cross Canadian Ragweed from its inception in 1998 to its dissolution in 2010. In that time, they sold over a million albums. Cody has returned to vintage Cross Canadian form seizing the opportunity to take the lead of his new band, The Departed, with a newly energized inspiration to get back to his country-rock roots. The time he spends pursuing new creative paths with The Departed is a blessing to the Red Dirt Scene, allowing him time to develop a rejuvenated appreciation for Ragweed's legendary body of work and the connections it made with fans.

Micky and Gary Braun are members of the seminal country music Braun Family and have been immersed in Americana since they can remember. The brothers started Micky and the Motorcars and have been road-dogging America and beyond for the last 17 years. The Motorcars' roadshows have shaped the roots-rock resurgence that has played out over the past two decades and cemented their place as elder statesmen of that alt-country scene. The question is never really whether to tour but where to play next for the Motorcars. Gary––who handles guitar, mandolin, harmonica, harmonies, and occasionally lead vocals––and Micky, lead vocalist, and acoustic guitarist are joined in the Motorcars by Joe Fladger on bass, Bobby Paugh on drums and percussion, and new bandmate Pablo Trujillo on guitar. The combination of familiar and fresh players has reinvigorated the Motorcars' live show, which buzzes through a low-key rock-and-roll rapture built on grooves and the Brauns' signature harmonies.

The Red Dirt Roadshow showcases the celebrated musicians who made the Red Dirt scene what it is today - And the road is bringing this fantastic party to the Stride Bank Center in Enid, OK, on Friday, April 22. It's time to have a good time.
