The New Enid Buzz – Announcement

ENID, OK - Enid Buzz announces the launch of their new community website EnidBuzz.com!!! At this time they are calling it a soft launch. The initial launch is not the full website as it will eventually grow into. Only limited portions of the entire site are being revealed to show categories and pages to come. The Tuckers, owners of the website, thought it might be fun to surprise residents with new pages and new sections as they progressed on the site.

Enid Buzz has acquired a extensive amount of Enid photographs that they will be releasing as they restore and upload. What they currently have online is not even a drop in the bucket to what is on the way. If you like Enid photographs, they say, you're going to LOVE the new EnidBuzz.com!! The family owned business is on an adventure to archive all Enid photos, stories, legends and history. All in one easy to access website.

An example of a new archive page is this one created for the long time restaurant The Wagon Wheel. The family will be trying to add at least one photo, a small amount of history, a story and additional photos. Their attempt is to cover every popular subject and memory that citizens continue to talk about to this day.

The homepage and directory page contain coming pages that will soon have live links. They ask that web surfers pardon the mess as they clean out the cobwebs from multiple old versions of the site going back to 2005.

The biggest change you'll notice as you roam the website is how much more organized things are and easy they are to find. An organized photo gallery is being added and will allow residents to access vintage photographs easily 24 hours a day. Access to the website is free and was created as an entrepreneurial business by the Tucker family. They are currently looking for grants, angel investors and donations to help speed and aid in the task.

The six main sections of the new Enid Buzz are:

  1. Photographs (new and vintage)
  2. Today's Enid Charm
  3. The "Good Old Days"
  4. The Buzz Blog
  5. The Business Directory
  6. Restaurant Guide

Amongst the sections above the site also has a popular Buzz Calendar with updated events, an Enid trivia section with fun facts, a free classified area, a local music scene area, arts, local favorites plus many more!

A few changes residents will notice from the old Enid Buzz:

  • Buzz Blog is no longer the homepage
  • Photo Gallery now available (easy to use)
  • Fewer business listings (better updating)
  • More history, stories and vintage photos
  • More links to related websites

LOOKING FOR ADVERTISERS

The family also points out the fact that there are many more places to advertise local businesses and services on the site. Making money on Enid Buzz helps the Tuckers spend more time bringing surfers more stories, photos and updates. Enid Buzz also wants to highlight all businesses in town especially any new ventures. Because many companies cannot afford the high prices of newspaper ads, billboards, radio spots and others, Enid Buzz has created affordable spots throughout the website to fill this niche.

Most pages will have a large photo or ad at the top and all are first come first serve. Contact Enid Buzz if you see a spot that fits your needs.

I’m a big fan of the site, I moved away from Enid about 9 months ago after spending the first 31 years of my life there. I always check the site to see whats going on in my hometown.

Love the idea of Enid history. No hist. Would be complete without info. On “Tastee Freeze” on .s VanBuren. Janet and Fletch Gregory always had your lunch standing order ready when you got there for lunch during EHS lunch.

Weekends were spent hanging out there. Too much fun!
