Stuart Betters

March 21, 1957 — April 7, 2025

Stuart Warren Betters, age 68, of Enid, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home in Enid. The family will celebrate Stuart's life at a later time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Stuart was born March 21, 1957, in San Diego, California, to Milton and Opie (Faulkner). After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army where, as a part of his training, he learned to repair digital microwave telecommunication equipment. After he was honorably discharged, he took the skill he learned in the Army and worked for Verizon as a telecommunications engineer until retiring after 35 years. After his retirement, he went into gunsmithing, reloading ammunition, and built and repaired guns. He and Lisa enjoyed going to their retreat in Hot Springs, Arkansas anytime they could fit it into their schedule.

Stuart had such a fluid and agile mind. He was a great craftsman and could fix anything from cars to computers, he was very 'mechanical minded.' He passed those skills onto his children, both natural children and stepchildren.

Stuart is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Opie Betters, two grandchildren, Shannon and Stephen. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Betters, of the home in Enid, six children, Isaac Johnston and wife Tami, of Enid; Stephen Betters and wife Cacey, of Alabama, Jason Betters and wife Crystal, of Texas, Briley Box and husband Davin, of Allen, TX, April Ramos and husband Jonathan, of Harker Heights, TX, and Andrew Betters and wife Desiree, of San Antonio, TX, as well as thirteen grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Stuart's name may be made to Tunnels to Towers or the Gary Sinise Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
