Funeral service for Sam Lehman 88, of Mead, Ok. formally of Enid, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2025, in Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with Pastor Helmer Johnson officiating. Burial following in Enid Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with family will be held from 2-6 pm, Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Stittsworth’s.
Sam Lehman was born on Aug 14, 1936, to Clara and Robert Lehman, in Pauling Ohio.
Sam went to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Donna, on June 10, 2025.
Sam married Donna McIntosh on June 1, 1958, at Bethal Baptist Church in Hawley, Ok. Sam joined the Airforce in 1963 and remained in the military until he retired at Vance Airforce Base, in Enid OK in 1975. In the 70’s and early 80’s, Sam was known in the Enid community as a businessman. In the late 80’s he became a rural mail carrier, and in 1990, he and Donna moved to Mead OK at Lake Texoma for a new rural mail route. He was then known as “Sam the Mail Man” until his retirement. After his retirement, Sam started a tomato farm, where he grew in such popularity, people from all over the country would come to buy his tomatoes. Sam was well known for being a very generous person, and would help anyone who was in need.
Sam is preceded in death by his wife Donna Lehman; A daughter LaDonna Lehman: Greagory Allen Lehman; A sister Sally Pinkham as well as of both parents.
He is survived by his daughter Laurie Gauley and husband Ike Gauley of Kingston, Ok. Three grandchildren, Lacey Amacker and husband Blake Amacker of Brandon, MS; Samantha Winegeart and husband Tanner Winegeart of Okeene, OK; State Trooper of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Dustin Schuh and wife Nichol Schuh of Morton MS; 5 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters. As well as family adopted son Tim Gardner.
Sam was an amazing grandfather who loved his grandchildren very much; he will be missed dearly.
