The services celebrating and honoring the life of Ricky “Keith” Nance, 68, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday September 21, 2026, in the Central Assembly of God, Enid; burial will follow in the Kremlin Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Keith was born May 21, 1958, to Billy Joe and Odesa Rickman Nance in Quanah, Texas and passed from this life September 16, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Quanah until he was a freshman in high school when his family relocated to Enid, Oklahoma following his father’s career with the railroad. He graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1976. Right after graduating he began working for Burlington Northern Railroad and continued his career for forty-four years retiring in 2022 as an Engineer. In 1989 he welcomed his one and only son Nathan Nance and enjoyed spending all of the time that he could with him. On June 15, 2013 he married Darla Sherman, in Enid, Oklahoma. Keith was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and always kept his yard perfectly groomed.
He is survived by his wife Darla Sherman-Nance, of the home; his son Nathan Nance and his wife Shannen, of Pond Creek; four grandchildren, Hallie, Noah, Micah, and Faith, Nance; his mother Odessa Nance, of Quanah, Texas; his sister Carla Karr and her husband Gregg, of Quanah, Texas; his step-children, Michael Brown, Mariah Johnson, and Ricky Wilson; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Billy Joe Nance and one granddaughter Ellie Faith Nance.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Kremlin Cemetery with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
