Richard Odell Revels

December 16, 1959 - December 25, 2022

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Richard Odell Revels, will be held privately. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Richard was born December 16, 1959, to Adrian Revels and Jesse Mae McHardy Revels in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 25, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School. He became in union with Movita Simone Boyd in 1979 and from this union came two sons. He then began working in the oilfield in September of 1979 at US Well services that later became Sebester Bechel and over time became a diesel Mechanic working for Mack Trucks and other employers until his retirement in 2018. He was a proud member of the Westside Church of God and Christ.

He enjoyed fishing, attending meetings with AA and NA, watching sports. He was very social and loved being around people. He had many friends and associates from different walks of life.

He is survived by two sons Rashahd Drémont Revels, 43, and Rahkeem Adron Revels, 39, the mother of his children and his friend, Movita S.Williams, all of Ardmore and Chickasha; his only sister Margret Helen Rucker, of Enid, and two brothers Roy G. Revels, of Oklahoma City, and Eric L. Revels, of Enid; one grandson Romalis D. Revels and three granddaughters, Zarrie S. Revels, Keniah A. Revels, and Jazzylynn T. Robinson-Revels; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Jesse Revels, three brothers, Glen Revels, Joseph Revels, and Robert Revels.

Memorials may be made in his honor to assist with Funeral Expenses with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
