Reception Honors Lew Ward Family

ENID, Okla. — The Cherokee Strip Community Foundation and the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center (CSRHC) joined on May 10 in a celebration and donor appreciation event honoring donors to the Heritage Center endowment campaign and celebrating the continuing progress of the campaign.

Donations by December 2017 exceeded the $1million challenge match offered by the Lew and Myra Ward Family. Pledges and donations to date total over $2.3million, which is approaching the halfway mark of the $5million campaign goal. The CSRHC campaign committee is appreciative of the donors and is enthusiastically anticipating further success by having donations and pledges to achieve the campaign goal.

The CSRHC endowment will continue to grow under the management of the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation. It will assure the continuing excellence of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, which preserves and presents the rich heritage of the region while entertaining, educating and inspiring this and future generations through exhibits, research, events and programs.

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma.
