The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Patricia Denise Welty, 66, of Enid, will be held Sunday August 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Pastor Roy Alexander officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Patricia was born December 16, 1959 to Quinton and Goldia “Goldie” (Quillen) Welty in Fort Knox, Kentucky and passed from this life July 26, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loved ones, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Kentucky, Alaska, Texas, and Oklahoma following her father’s military career finally settling in Enid where she attended Enid High School. She began working in medical records before becoming a mother. She then was a full-time homemaker and enjoyed raising her sons. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, taking care of her grandchildren and loving everyone, related or not.
She is survived by her two sons Shane Welty and his wife Jessica and Michael Helton, her grandchildren, Quinton, Daniel, Clayton, Josef, and Chambree Welty and Wyatt and Abraham Helton; her sister, Quintina McDonnel and her husband Randy, as well as her nephews and niece Robert and Stephanie McDonnel and Steven "Craig" Welty and his wife Kimberly and Joshua Welty; and many other great nieces and nephews and self-adopted children and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Scott Hawthorn and her parents Quinton and Goldia Welty and one brother Steven Welty.
