Norma Blasdel

July 12, 1941 - March 28, 2024

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Norma (Stanley) Blasdel, 82, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday April 2, 2024, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 Monday April 1, 2024, at Brown-Cummings. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Norma was born July 12, 1941, to Howard and Elsie May (Stevenson) Stanley in Woodward, Oklahoma and passed from this life March 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1959. She began working in the kitchen at Enid General Hospital, later working at Woolworths, in bookkeeping at Champlain Refinery from 1969 – 1974, Merlin's Body shop, and twenty years at H & R Block and Garfield County Courthouse until her retirement. She then served on the Election board and achieved her real estate license. She enjoyed country line dancing, crocheting, reading, ceramics; she was passionate about genealogy research and loved all people and Elvis Presley.

She is survived by two daughters Colleen Kennington and husband Tom and Charlene Satterley and husband Mark, both of Enid, four grandchildren, Misty and husband Randy, Christy and husband Mike, Jennifer and husband Curt, and Josh and fiancé Amanda; seven great grandchildren, Hope and Husband Seth, Kyle and wife Mimi, Caleb, Alecia, Mason, Madison, Gabriella.; 3 great great grandchildren, Paris, Carson, and Conner, five siblings, Linda Coleman, Donna Asavamonchai and husband, Pravit, Gloria Moncrief, and husband Sam, Vickie Stanley, and Kathy Stanley; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and five siblings

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of the staff of Greenbrier Nursing Home.

Memorials may be made to Greenbrier Nursing Home with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
