Contestants are being sought for the Miss Cherokee Strip Enid Contest, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 17. The contest is free to enter and free to attend. Fifteen titles will be awarded in different age divisions from age 5 to 21 and above. Competitions will include speaking and modeling. The girls are judged on a speech and creativity in costume.

The contest will be held at 6 p.m. in the Gantz Center of Northern Oklahoma College in Enid.

Miss Cherokee Strip contestants are ages 18-20. Younger contestants will be judged in one year increments from five to 17. There will also be a Pioneer Lady contest for ages 21 and above.
