Funeral services for Michael Donovan Olsen, age 56, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Hillsdale Bible Church. Family and friend visitation will be held at the Hillsdale Bible Church prior to the service at 10:00 am.
Michael Olsen was born on Tuesday, May 9th , 1967, in St. Croix Falls, WI, to Jack and Judy Olsen. He departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home. Michael attended private schools in Wisconsin and finished High School, graduating at Unity High in 1985.
After graduating high school, Michael moved to Enid, Ok with his parents and three brothers in 1985. Michael began his career at Vance Air Force Base in August of 1988. Floating from different jobs at Vance, Michael landed at his final job at Fuels. Michael gained many years full of experience as a fuel truck driver. Although he enjoyed fueling the jets and visiting with pilots and other crew members, he finished his career as a fuel truck driver dispatcher. Working full time at Vance Air Force Base wasn't enough to keep him busy, so he took on part time side jobs. For a short period, Michael would put in countless hours at Vater Implement on 4th St in Enid. After he left Vater Implement, Michael decided to start a Gopher & Mole Trapping business. Michael was a busy body and would always be working on a project or a job for a close friend or family.
Michael always had a passion for hunting and fishing. If he wasn't working or helping family, he would usually be sitting in his deer stand during hunting season. Michael grew up whitetail deer hunting with his father and brothers. Fishing trips were something that Mike would also enjoy doing on weekend getaways. Growing up learning to hunt during his childhood, he couldn't help but teach his daughter, Christina to join in on the Olsen Hunting Clan.
He is survived by his wife, Carol and family of South Carolina, parents, Jack and Judy Olsen of Enid, Ok. His three brothers, Scott Olsen of Oklahoma City, Ok, Greg Olsen and wife, Shelly of Ponca City, OK, and Chad Olsen and wife, Krystal of Enid, Ok; Daughter, Christina Olsen of Enid,Ok; Nieces and Nephews: Desiree Olsen, Taylor Ramey and Husband DJ, Trystan Olsen and wife, Emma, Lukas Olsen, Kiera Olsen, and Callum Ramey. He has a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other family in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, and numerous uncles.
Michael accepted the Lord as his Saviour at a young age. He will always be loved and missed by his family in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
