Mrs. Maxine Lavern Walker, daughter of the late Harry Louis Walton and Roletta Mae Hartman Walton, was born August 28th, 1945 in Vancouver, Washington. She passed away on March 6th, 2020 in Enid, Ok. She was a graduate of Junction City High School in Junction City, Kansas.

Maxine was united in holy matrimony to Rex Lee Walker on January 6th, 1968. This union was blessed with two children, Melanie Renee’ Walker Lynn and Bradley Wayne Walker. Her and Rex were a husband and wife truck driving team until 2006 when she retired from Tyson Foods.
-
Maxine spent her retirement traveling and spending quality time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the “adopted” mom and grandmother to too many of her children’s and grandchildren’s friends to mention. Nothing was more important to Maxine than her family. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she always made sure her family knew how much she loved them and how proud she was of all of them. Maxine never missed an opportunity to tell people about her family.
