A funeral service for Marjorie Ray, 94, of Enid will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Emmanuel Church Chapel with Dr Shonn Keels officiating. A private family burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Marjorie was born on September 23, 1930, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Opal Browning (Sanders) and Herbert Browning and passed away on April 1, 2025, in Enid.
Marjorie graduated from Clinton High School and then attended business school. She married J.B. Ray on March 19, 1949, in Wheeler, Texas. She was a member of the United Food Workers Union and Home Builders Association. Marjorie was the co-manager of her and J.B.’s business, J.B. Rays Homes. She was a part of the card players club and a bowling league with family and friends. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Margie Dodson of Enid and Cherri Bamburg of Oklahoma City, son Jesse Ray of Greenwood, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Ray, her parents Opal and Herbert Browning, one brother, and four sisters.
