A Mass of Christian Burial for Madalen C. (Orth) Robinson, 88, of Enid, will be 10:00AM, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. John Herrera officiating. A Rosary will be 6:00PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Anderson Burris Funeral Home, with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Graveside Services will be 3:00PM, Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman, Kansas officiated by Rev. Andrew Walsh. Local arrangements are by Anderson Burris Funeral Home.
She was born to Arthur and Madalen (Ewertz) Orth on January 9, 1934, in Ost, Kansas and passed away peacefully Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her home in Enid with her family by her side.
Madalen as a young girl attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School of Kingman, Kansas through the eighth grade, then staying home to help her family on the farm. On August 11, 1953, she married Bruce L. Robinson at Kingman, Kansas. The couple moved to Enid in 1968 where they raised their four children. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Alter Society of Enid, member of 4H. She enjoyed spending time sewing and at one time she made the cheerleading uniforms for Enid High school, gardening, planting flowers, fishing, boating, farming, raising chickens; quails; peacocks; pheasants; turkeys; ducks and remodeling houses with her husband Bruce and her children. She was a Foster Parent for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three son’s Perry of the home, Gary of Norman and Steven of Del City, one daughter Brenda Robinson-Power of Enid; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Madalen; husband Bruce; one granddaughter Rachel; one daughter-in-law Vicki, one son-in-law Scot, four sisters Alvina; Evelyn; Millie and Lorene and four brothers Ray; Elmer; Arthur(Jr.); Lawrence(Peanuts).
