Lorene Foos (Sanders)

Saturday, October 23rd, 1948 - Friday, February 12th, 2021

Lorene was born in Purcell, Oklahoma on October 23, 1948 to Wallace Goodman Sanders and Myrtle Arvie Sanders, and passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lorene graduated from Enid High School in 1966. She met Dennis Gene Foos her senior year while working at the Chief Theatre in downtown Enid. They married that same year and set out to build a life together.

Family and faith were the two most important things for her. She cherished the little moments spent with family, often around the kitchen table. Whether it was sharing a home cooked meal, playing a board game, or sipping coffee with the newspaper, she put family first and was there for the people she cared about.

She loved God and was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God in Christ, in Crescent, Oklahoma. She cared for her church family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was a woman of strength and unwavering faith. She was an ordained missionary, and her missions took her to countries including Kenya, Honduras, El Salvador, and Costa Rica. She had a passion for this calling and the lifetime relationships she formed with the people she met.

Lorene will be greatly missed by all but not forgotten. Surviving are: two sons, Dennis Jr., and Robert and his wife Beth of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Wallace; and six grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Nicholas, Trey, Delaney, and Brayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, husband, and daughter Michelle Ann Foos.

Service will be Saturday, February 20, 10 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Edwin House officiating. Burial will be in Fairview/McKeeman Cemetery, Jefferson, Okla.
