Ted Hromas

August 01, 1946 - September 16, 2020

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Theodore Eugene Hromas “Ted”, 74, of Waukomis, will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday September 24, 2020 at Waukomis Christian Church with Pastor Dave Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Ted was born August 1, 1946 to Frank and Agnes Hromas in Enid and passed from this life September 16, 2020 in Waukomis.

He was raised and educated in Waukomis, graduating with the class of 1964. After graduating, he joined the United States National Guard for twenty years and was a member of the United States National Guard Reserve for an additional twelve, retiring after thirty-two years of service to our nation. He was married to Cheryl Lynn Hooley January 23, 1970 and from that union came four children. He began working at Sears as a delivery driver, then in Parts and Repair, and as a Manager, but his main passion was as a salesman. After retiring from Sears, he worked as a custodian at Autry Vo Tech for seventeen years; he was always a very hard worker.

He enjoyed bass fishing, dove and water fowl hunting. He was an avid collector of tackle. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Teddy and Tammy Hromas, Beth and Kiley Ives, Timmy and Jamie Hromas, and Andrea and Jason Congdon, one brother, Frank Hromas, one sister, Marie Cox, fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Snodgrass, and one grandson Cooper Hromas.

Memorials may be made in his honor to 4 R Kids with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
