Leona Ruth Krause

Funeral service for Leona Krause, 88, of Ringwood, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Ringwood, with Rev. Brian Frable officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 at the funeral home.

Leona was born April 28, 1930, in Hillsboro, Kansas to Jacob and Anna (Martens) Hagen, and passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Enid.

Leona married Harvey Krause on November 6, 1953, in Enid. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ringwood where she was the pianist for many years. Leona was an amazing homemaker, a great cook and bread maker. She loved to sew and crochet, and would make matching dresses for her 3 daughters and herself.

Leona is survived by her daughters Marla Vaverka (Larry) of Hennessey, Jana McAlister (David) of Nash, and Debra Kretzschmar (Ken) of Wichita; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother Calvin Hagen; and sister Eileen Dueck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Bill, sister Betty and great grandson Caleb Phipps.
