Graveside services for Lavern Harold Crosson, 77 of Enid, will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Lyon Valley Cemetery east of Hennessey, with Jimmy Berkenbile officiating. Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 P.M. in the Liberty Southern Baptist Church with Dr. Matt Miles officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Lavern was born December 27, 1943 in Enid to Lavern and Lorene Hall Crosson and passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Enid. He attended and graduated from Hennessey High School.
He married Nancy Coulter on January 7, 1964 in Tucumcari, NM. He was the owner and operator of Joe and Lorene’s Upholstery until his health caused his retirement. While Lavern and Nancy were raising their four children, he trained horses to ride and drive, and also sold livestock. He was also a heavy equipment operator. Lavern was the associate pastor at Liberty Southern Baptist Church and also led the services at Cowboy Church.
Lavern is survived by his wife Nancy, children, Kim, Roy and Barry and Andrea, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one due May 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many family members.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Liberty Southern Baptist Church.
