Funeral services for Jim Suttle will be Friday, December 13 at 12:00
noon at Emmauel Enid Chapel, 2505 West Garriott, Enid with Shonn Keels and Kelly Russell officiating. Burial will be held before services at Enid Cemetery, 212 West Willow, Enid at 11:00am under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Jim Suttle, 76, of Enid, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 8.
He was born to Oscar Leo Suttle and Donnon Carroll.
On April 14, 1979 Jim married Shirley Glenn in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their adventures spanned 45½ years until his passing. Jim and Shirley had two daughters, Dalaina and Angie.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Wichita State University, Wichita, KS. A Master of Theological Studies was completed at Houston Baptist University while working in Houston.
His work career comprised of various management positions in the oil industry in El Dorado, KS, Corpus Christi, Tx, Midland, Tx, Edmond, OK and two stints in Houston, TX. At Koch Industries he was Supervisor of Schedulers of Product Movement. At Plains Pipeline he was Director of Engineering Western Division. His final position before retirement was Senior Vice-President of Crude Oil Services for Banner Transportation/Hilland Partners in Enid, Ok.
His love of studying the Bible made Jim a gifted Sunday School teacher.
He began with teaching 7th grade and moved through college-age to adults. Several Bible study classes were led by Jim Suttle.
Hobbies were wide-spread: water skiing, reading, travel, time with family (especially grandchildren), dancing whether it was ballroom or country two-steppin', politics (who wants to debate?), OU football, problem solving, cars and boating. Jim and Shirley spent many vacations travelling to foreign countries.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley, daughter Dalaina and husband Ross, daughter Angie and husband Andy; four grandchildren: CJ, Alexis, Jack and Oliver and one great granddaughter Alana. Brothers Jerry and wife Martha and brother Larry plus four nieces and nephews. "No one has greater love than to lay down his own life for his friends."
