Hospice Circle of Love Rated as a Five Star Hospice

ENID, OK - The latest results from Medicare’s family caregiver surveys for hospice have been released. They show that Hospice Circle of Love is one of just seven hospices out of forty-four in the state of Oklahoma to receive a five-star rating. They are also the only hopsice in Enid to be given that designation. Caregivers are sent the survey, asking them several questions about their experience, following a loved one’s time on hospice. Questions are asked about communication, timely response, respect, emotional and spiritual support, managing pain and symptoms and educating caregivers.

Hospice Circle of Love was founded in 1983 by a group of community leaders and is one of the longest standing hospices in Oklahoma. The founders strongly believed in the hospice concept, which focuses on quality of life at the end of life. A team of caregivers provides support in the patient’s home or nursing home in their final months. This Includes hospice physicians, nurses, nurse aides, chaplains, a social worker, pet and music therapists and volunteers for respite and companionship.

Only 11% of hospices across the nation received a five-star family caregiver survey rating, according to the latest data available from Medicare. The information is available on the medicare.gov website.
