ENID, Okla. - For the first time since his conviction, Daniel Holtzclaw gives an exclusive interview to ABC's Juju Chang on an upcoming episode of "20/20." The Enid native made national headlines as an Oklahoma City police officer accused of preying on women in the very community he was sworn to serve and protect.
-
The original airing of the interview was postponed due to the sudden death of musician Prince. 20/20 decided to run a special on the Prince that Friday night and finally rescheduled the show for Friday, May 20.
-
Chang’s report includes an exclusive interview with Holtzclaw from prison, his police interrogation tapes, and searing conversations with four of the 13 women who said he terrorized them.
-
You will also hear publicly from the Holtzclaw family, friends, colleagues and most importantly the Private Investigator, Brian Bates, who spent numerous hours on the case. The Holtzclaw family and Bates continue to fight for Holtzclaw's justice at www.HoltzclawTrial.com.
-
The hour long segment, which also features a member of the jury which deliberated for 45 hours over four days, airs on “20/20” on the ABC Television Network at 9:00 pm CST.

Curtis Tucker @ the Enid Buzz, can you write an article on why he is “privileged” to be removed from the oklahoma department to correction database when there are people that committed crimes 20 plus years ago and may even be dead that can be found in the odoc database?
I want to know why do people act like it is just so darn hard to believe that this man committed these crimes to these women.

As a result former Corrections officer I can tell you this is exactly the reason. Interstate Compact. We trade one of our inmates for one from another state. He isn’t listed on the OK DOC website because he is in the custody of another state.

I”m sure the reason his name was removed from the Oklahoma DOC database was for protection. He’s a previous law enforcement officer and whether Brandy likes it or not, DOC is required to ensure the safety of all inmates. Why is it so hard for Brandy to understand that some inmates are wrongly convicted? Is it that she doesn’t want this case looked into because of what it might reveal about our wonderful justice system or the witnesses for the prosecution? I’m sure if Brandy or one of her loved ones were wrongfully convicted she would expect a thorough and impartial review of the case.

He was moved out of state for his safety. He was also moved off the database for his safety. Even tho he’s convicted the state must also take precautions to keep him safe. My opinion anyway.

It would make sense to remove him from Oklahoma. As a former police officer, being jailed alongside people he probably put in there is a safety issue for the state.

I’m no lawyer but I myself have looked into the case and studied the evidence released to the public along with the victims testimonies time frames interviews etc… If you pay attention to the facts and not let emotion take over I’m sure everyone will see he didn’t do it. I mean put some serious time into it and if you find something I haven’t more power to you.

I agree Steve. There is no evidence to convict Daniel. I like you, am no lawyer; however, I have read so much on the trial, plus watched the two hour interrogation . I’ve talked to numerous people , and we all believe our judicial system definitely got it wrong. It’s really sad that with all the black life matters, and the up roar in Ferguson, all the prejudiced , that OKC convicted Daniel to avoid more riots in chaos in your city . I only can hope and pray that the truth will come out. God Bless Daniel and his family.

I hate it when a dozen women lie about being assaulted followed by forensic analysts and professionals being overcome by emotion, such a drag. I went to school with the guy, he was a POS then and he is a POS now. I hope he rots.

Well,if you’re no lawyer or part of the legal system, where did you get your information, genius? Oh,you did online research? What an ignorant dope!

I’ve followed the case, and I TRULY BELIEVE HE IS 100% INNOCENT!!! Thru basically built a case full of LIES based on his GPS UNIT. I’M COMPLETELY ASTONISHED AS TO HOW THOSE JURORS convicted him GUILTY BEYOND a REASONABLE DOUBT…. I HOPE HE IS EXONERATED, AND SUES OKC PD, THE FALSE ACCUSERS, THE ATTORNEYS… THIS IS A MANS LIFE THAT HAS BEEN DESTROYED BY THE MEDIA & WAS NOT GIVEN A CHANCE… If you take the race equation out of this and actually go into the case, the evidence, the pre trial statements, all the contradicting statements & testimony. THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD CONVICT THIS MAN GUILTY BEING A REASONABLE DOUBT

To the guy-(OR ANY ONE) that says “oh what’s the research you’ve done?”
Well as a civilian you can go to the website with all the facts, read articles, and the fact is, if you are doing any RESERCH to this case at all you will see he’s clearly innocent.

What have you done??? I’m sure you haven’t researched it at all other than….Watched the news? Congratulations, youre reacting exactly how the media wants you to. We should be terrified at the way his conviction went because it could happen to any one.
I want Daniel to know there are people who see his clear as day innocence, who ARE STILL AND WONT STOP fighting for his justice.
What have I personally done, put time money and travel into this. He’s a great person, he personally made my entire life better and helped me in was no one else has. Im forever greatful and will never stop fighting for justice.

Nothing in any newspaper or tell-a-vision PROGRAM (your mind) is a balanced view, far as msm goes.
Could’ve been another cop higher up, framing him. Could have been any other scenario. Only those involved know the truths, and so long as the public pays this sort of stuff any mind, while dismissing the real trouble in this world, that’s just how this world will revolve.

Does anyone know why his GPS corroborated some of the women’s stories? What is Daniel’s explanation for this?

Was he being kind of a sleaze and then got set up by blacktivists, or is there some other reason he went out of his way with women in his car…

Read about the Terry Yakey “suicide” and then you will see that OKC PD is capable of setting one of their own up. Daniel Holtzclaw is innocent.
