The Memorial Service Celebrating and Honoring the life of Grat Levi Bishop, 63, of Jet, was held privately. Services and Complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Grat was born April 29, 1957 to Don and Vena Darlene Hankins Bishop in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and passed from this life July 4, 2020 in Jet, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Tulsa and attended Catoosa High School, where he has a standing state track record. After high school he traveled for several years until becoming a full-time long-haul truck driver for forty years even team driving with his mom for a short time. He made his home in Mountainburg, Arkansas until moving to Jet to be close to family in 2017. He was married to Marie Schmidt and from that union came four children, Christy Tamez (Santos), of Jacksonville, Florida, Melanie Bishop and (Brian), of Enid, Jennifer Kirk (Donald) of Oklahoma City, and Laura Bishop, of Oklahoma City. He later married Terri Dyer and from that union came four children, Jimmy Barber (Susan) of Tulsa, OK, Johnny Bishop (Ruby), of Claremore, Jessica Arthur, of Claremore, Jana Barber, of Tulsa.

He enjoyed puppies, fishing, and hunting, always having a great sense of humor, maybe a little on the onery side.

He is survived by his mother Darlene Bishop, of the home, his eight children; sixteen Grandchildren, Tyler, Espie, Noelle, Jaemi, Caleb, Julia, Cody, Makayla, Abby, Jordan, Sydney, Alex, Caden, Joey, Jenna, and Noah; Great Grandchildren, Nala, and Levi; two sisters Debrah Louderback (Boyd), of Larmar, Karen Bishop, of Wetumka.

He was preceded in death his father and one grandson, Chase.
