Gerardo Saldana

February 1, 1994 - December 21, 2022

The Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating and Honoring the life of Gerardo Saldana, 28, of Enid, will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday January 13, 2022, in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Gerardo was born February 1, 1994, to Gerardo Saldana and Tanya Pacheco in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 21, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid and attended Enid High School where he played football. He moved to Independence, Missouri where he graduated from William Chrisman High School with the class of 2012. He was raised by his mother and stepfather Darrell Norris. Gerardo returned to Enid after high school and began working for KC Electric where he continued to work for four years. He then began working with his father at McNeil Welding Co and later returned to KC Electric.

He married Destiny Welch July 27, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family, and friends and watching his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He was full of life and had a contagious laugh.

He is survived by his wife Destiny Saldana; his children Havyn Michelle Thompson and Alejandro Flores Saldana; his mother Tanya Ganer; his father Gerardo Saldana; siblings, Vianca Norris, Nohemi Saldana, Bryan Saldana, Mariah Saldana, and Shane Murrow; grandmother, maternal grandmother, Irene Pacheco Rodriguez; paternal grandparents, Cirilo Saldana and Rafaela Saldana; mother in law Melanie Landa, brothers in law Trenton Welch and Blake Gonzales; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Darrell Norris and cousin Arturo Junior Saldana.
