Geneva Shaver Phillips

Geneva was born February 10, 1934 in Violet Hill, Arkansas to Ishmael Cannon, but was raised as Geneva Cothrine, the daughter of McKinley and Molly Cothrine. Geneva passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Celebration of life service for Geneva Phillips will be 11:00AM, Friday December 6, 2019 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Ashzreal Cole and Tylor Nation officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Geneva is survived by her twins Darrell and Darlene Shaver of Enid; daughters Carmelita Phillips-Quinn of Sapulpa, and Glendolyn Bell of Florida; adopted daughter Lanita Petticut of Dallas, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; brother Ishmael Cannon Jr of Peoria, Illinois; sister, Cynthia Cannon Allen of Orange Park, Florida.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Morris Phillips, parents, daughter Yvonne and son Charles, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
