Forget Me Not Outdoor Dinner Event

ENID, OK - The Garfield County Child Advocacy Council is a private non-profit agency serving abused and neglected children and their families in Northwest Oklahoma and other cities and states.

The 9th Annual Forget Me Not Outdoor Dinner Event is planned for August 13, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.

The speaker for the evening will be Dr. Barbara Sorrels. Dr. Sorrels is Executive Director of The Institute for Childhood Education and the author of the award-winning book, Reaching and Teaching Children Exposed to Trauma. She has worked in the field of early childhood education for over 40 years serving as a teacher, program director and university professor. She travels all over training parents, child welfare agencies, schools and childcare centers on the impact of trauma on healthy growth and development.

All proceeds from the Forget Me Not Outdoor Dinner Event benefit the Garfield County Child Advocacy Council through an endowment fund held by the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation. Please RSVP to (580) 242-1153 by August 6, 2019. The cost is $75 per person or $500 to sponsor a table of eight.
