Dr. James "Jim" Patrick Worrell

Viewing will be 6-12am, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Caballero Reviero Funeral Home in Little Havana, Miami, FL. Memorial service will be held in Enid, OK on Friday March 1, 2019 at 10:30 am, First Presbyterian, Reverend Andrew Long officiating.

Jim was born at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA to Jim and Kay Worrell on November 4, 1957. He went to high school at Northview in Covina, CA and John Marshall in Oklahoma City, OK. He married Polly Payne on March 5, 1982. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with degrees in Microbiology and Medicine,1984. He served as medical officer aboard U.S.S. Constellation, San Diego, CA. Post-Medical School Training: Internship: Surgery, Naval Hospital Oakland, CA, 1985. Residencies:Surgery, Naval Hospital Oakland, CA, 1990. He was a veteran of Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Iraq, 1990-91. Fellowship: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, MD, and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Washington, D.C. 1994. Cosmetic practice over 20 years in Enid OK and began a new practice in 2018 with Lux/Seduction Cosmetic in Miami.

Jim enjoyed his life and would want to thank some of those that made this possible. Topping the list is a long list of family and friends, doggies and the most important.. his wife Polly, his best friend and his three awesome young sons, Chris, Matt and Will. He adored his daughter-n-law Jane Ann and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Madi. Surviving is his sister, of the Eagle family, Rebecca, husband Storm, daughter Jessica, sons Kevin and Chase of Norman, OK. And his brother, Thomas Brock of Norman, OK. Also his sister-n-law family, the Halls ..Susan, husband Mike and Carly of Edmond, OK and Connor and Libby Hall of Guthrie, OK. And brother-n-law Thomas Payne of Springdale Arkansas.

Jim was a wonderful father and husband. He loved life. He loved his patients. He loved WW II history, Astronomy, Sooner football, good food, traveling with friends and loved driving super cars. He lived this life well and left us way too soon.
