Take A Lantern Tour At CSRHC

ENID, OK - The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is hosting their annual Lantern Tours event on Friday, March 4 th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the historic Humphrey Heritage Village. Living history interpreters will entertain and educate visitors while sharing their unique, historic perspective of life in northwestern Oklahoma before statehood. Short vignettes from living history interpreters will occur at each of the stops in the Lantern Tour.

There are no advanced tickets necessary to purchase, and Lantern Tours are first-come, first-serve. The Heritage Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the special Lantern Tours starting at 7:00 p.m., with a new group starting every 20 minutes. The last group will begin at 9:00 p.m.

The Heritage Center and Humphrey Heritage Village are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
