Coeds To Vie For Miss NOC Enid Title

TONKAWA, OK - The annual dual Miss Northern Oklahoma College Enid-Miss Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Scholarship Competition is set for Tuesday, Oct. 29 at NOC Tonkawa, according to competition director Shannon Varner.

Four Miss NOC Enid candidates and eight contestants for the Miss NOC Tonkawa title will parade on stage in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to the competition is free.

Miss NOC Enid contestants include Emily Long, Enid (Oklahoma Bible Academy); Taylor McKay, Hennessey, Samantha Cano Enid (Chisholm); and Emily Hall, Enid (Chisholm).

Prior to the competition, candidates will be individually interviewed by judges. During the competition, they will compete in lifestyle and fitness, artistic expression, presence and poise in evening wear and on-stage question.

Miss NOC Enid 2020 will receive a $1000 scholarship expense award. Scholarship expense awards in the amounts of $600 and $400 will go to the first and second runners-up respectively, and each non-finalist will receive a $250 tuition waiver participation award.

Dr. Edward Dixon, NOC fine arts division chair, will act as master of ceremonies for the pageant.

NOC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers associate degrees in three general areas: Arts, Science and Applied Science. The associate degree fulfills lower-division course work which is applicable towards a bachelor’s degree.
