Funeral services for Clark Spray, 80 of Enid, will be Monday, August 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery, Waukomis under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
William Clark Spray was born on January 16, 1936 near Coody’s Bluff, Oklahoma to William Denver and Genevieve Grazier Spray and died on July 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata High School in 1954. Clark served in the U.S. Army for three and a half years, mostly in Germany. He graduated from Phillips University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Clark married Beverly Ewing and they had three children, Jeffrey, Toni, and Jodi. He was employed by Sinclair Oil Company and transferred to Enid in 1964, where he went to work for Chaplin Petroleum Company, which later was Union Pacific Corp. Clark married Patsy Cross on April 20, 1973, and they had two children, Steven and Jennifer. Clark and Patsy owned and operated Century 21 Real Estate office for 10 years before they went into the appraisal business in 1992. He was president of the Enid Metro Board of Realtors in 1992.Clark has been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since 1975. He enjoyed going to the lake.
Clark was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi Ptak.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy of the home; children, Jeff Spray of Charlotte, NC, Toni Spray (Reno Marsh) of McKinney, TX, Steven Spray of Lexington, OK, and Jenni Spray of Enid; son-in-law, Dan Ptak (Rhonda) of Allen, TX; five grandsons, Jeff Ptak, Kevin Ptak, Bryton Marsh, Nicholas Spray, and Jack Brush; three granddaughters, Brianna Marsh, Kayla Ptak, and Olivia Brush.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Christian School through the funeral home.
