A Celebration of Life Service for Cheryl Roxann Kinzy, age 69 of Tulsa, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, in the Willow View Church with Pastor Mark McAdow officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Cheryl was born July 15, 1955, in Enid, to Duane and Barbara Rains Kinzy and passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2025, at her home in Tulsa, OK.
All of her school years were spent in Tulsa, OK where she graduated from East Central High School in 1973. Both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees were earned at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. She worked as a medical technologist at both Enid hospitals, later moving to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to work in a hospital for three years. Returning to Tulsa, she worked at the OSU Hospital retiring from St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee.
She enjoyed quilting, counted cross stitch and needlepoint, though her favorite pastime was showing her dog in agility trials. Cheryl also trained dogs for the first two years to be service dogs before they were moved on for more specific training.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother Barbara Malicote.
