Bonita (Miss Bonnie) Kaufman

Bonnie went to her heavenly reward on Monday, March6, 2017 at her residence in Enid, Oklahoma. She was 66 years old. She was employed with Wal-Mart for 13 years until her health forced her retirement. Bonnie was a homemaker, foster mother, and a very good person. She took care of 85 foster kids between 1980 and 1990, and of those, she adopted one boy, Jason, and two special needs girls, Misty and Megan who provided 30 years of enjoyment for her. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Loyd Kaufman, Sr; Misty, Megan; two sons, Loyd, Jr, James Wesley and Brandi Kaufman; grandchildren, Josh Kaufman, Jason, Jr., Natalie Cody Kaufman; brothers, Louis Turner and Gloria, and Gordon and Carolyn Fitzgerald. Bonnie was preceded in passing by her parents, Francis and Juanita Fitzgerald, two sisters, Vicky Fitzgerald and Sheri Griffith, daughter, Donita Nottingham and son, Jason Kaufman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the House of Prayer with Pastor Tony Hayes officiating. A lunch will be catered by the Wooden Nickell after the funeral, so come and celebrate the life of a very good woman.
