Bill Chapman, Jr.

OI474463010_ChapmanPictureGraveside services for Bill Jr. Chapman, 82, Ponca City, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor Larry Nigh officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Bill was born on July 18, 1933 in Hale Center, Texas, the son of Bill,Sr. and Josephine Burton Chapman, and passed away peacefully on November 29, 2015 in Ponca City. He was raised in Hale Center and, in 1954, Bill married Betty Miller. She preceded him in passing in 2009. They moved to Ponca City in 1980 where Bill worked for Sullivan Trucking as a fabricator, retiring after 20 years of service. Bill then worked for Conoco, first as a bus driver and later, as a security officer. He was a member of Osage Heights Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by daughters, Barbara (Rick) Rice of Ponca City, Delcena (Bud) Nix of Perry, Melinda (Jay) Carroll of Fairfax, Oklahoma, and Donnell Tucker of Cushing; son, Bobby Joe (Terrie) Coble of Fairfax; brother, William Chapman of Odessa, Texas; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
